Best Buy's bold new store design Permalink
From the files of "Things that won't save Best Buy" comes a new floor format that Best Buy is trying out:
The "Solution Central" help desk is surrounded by chairs, manned by the Geek Squad and looks quite a bit like Apple's famed Genius Bar.
Customers can pay for items at many locations around the store (again, like an Apple Store), instead of one big checkout line.
